Senior Network Engineer

Experience: 3+ years

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with a strong background in router, switch, and firewall management. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience, along with hands-on expertise in WAN and LAN management.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:  Proficiently manage and troubleshoot WAN and LAN networks, ensuring optimal performance.

Device Configuration:  Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including Cisco switches, routers, ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto, and Sophos firewalls.

Layer 2 & Layer 3 Proficiency:  Utilize Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies, including Spanning Tree, Dot1x standards, trunking protocols, Ether channels, VLANs, DHCP, VTP, and Inter-VLAN routing using SVIs.

Redundancy and High Availability:  Implement and maintain redundancy, high availability, and reliability on switches and firewalls.

Wi-Fi Implementation:  Manage the implementation of Wi-Fi solutions within the network environment.

Troubleshooting Expertise:  Use Wireshark and other tools to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

Documentation:  Create and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.

Collaboration and Initiative:  Work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong initiative.

Protocol Configuration:  Configure and troubleshoot various network protocols, including IPsec VPNs and SDWAN.

Cabling Standards Understanding:  Ensure adherence to cabling standards within the network infrastructure.

Routing Protocols:  Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Aruba).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (ASA, Palo Alto, Sophos, FortiGate).
• Familiarity with load balancers (Array) and web application firewalls.
• Experience with IPS/IDS and VPN technologies.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.

– Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
