Network Engineer

Job Description:

• Monitor, Support and Administration of Morningstar’s Global WAN, Wired and Wireless LAN of Corporate Offices and Datacenter networks
• Routine implementation of Firewall ACL changes
• Routine implementation of URL filtering using Cisco Umbrella Cloud based application
• Responding to incidents and alerts escalated by Morningstar’s NOC or automated alerting
• Managing and maintaining the operational integrity of our systems
• Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure document
• Implementation of firewall policies on Cisco ASA, FTD and Palo Alto firewall
• Troubleshoot issues related to WAN and co-ordinate with SD-WAN vendor
• Routine maintenance of network devices – Router, Switches and Firewalls by following device lifecycle management
• Follow change, problem and incident management process
• Preparation and analysis of WAN and Internet link bandwidth utilization reports
• Routine WAN and internet link failover testing

Technical Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Science or Information Technology or any equivalent field with strong academic credentials is required.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a networking focused second line support role.
• Good English communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).
• An ability to demonstrate a focus on attention to detail and high-quality results.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow & Jira ticketing system
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and concepts.
• Experience on Cisco Catalyst & Data center switches, routers and firewalls, hands-on Cisco IOS and NX-OS network operating systems and knowledge on routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF and BGP
• Hands on experience on PaloAlto Firewall and Panorama Firewall Management
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP or higher-level certification
• Candidate should be willing to work in 24X7 rotational shifts.
